Karen Lee
Background: Talbragar Dubbo Karen is a young Wiradjuri woman from NSW. She began creating art for herself as a young girl. She studied and obtained a Degree in Fine Art and Visual Culture as a young mother, and has continued refining and developing her own art practice since. As a freelance artist she has painted commissioned pieces for both private and corporate spaces in a variety of styles. A recent venture has been the hand painting of designs on women’s shoes. Whilst Karen has kept herself busy, creating artworks and raising a family, December 2015 has seen her embark on her first solo exhibition with Burrunju Art Gallery. Themes: Her abstract artworks are based on themes and concepts of history and memory and clearly show she is inspired by the beauty in nature.
